Answers to common questions about Forth Arc. Still stuck? We're happy to help.

What is Forth Arc?

Forth Arc is an informational personal-finance tool that puts your debts, cash, holdings, 401(k), and RSUs on one balance sheet so you can see your net worth in a single view. It shows facts and comparisons — it never tells you what to do with your money.

Is Forth Arc financial advice?

No. Forth Arc is informational only — not financial, tax, or legal advice. It presents your numbers and side-by-side comparisons (for example, debt-payoff paths or RSU-vest scenarios) and leaves every decision to you.

Do I have to connect my bank?

No. You can add and track everything manually — debts, assets, income, and expenses — for free. Connecting accounts is always optional.

Switching from another finance app?

You can bring your data over in one step. The CSV importer on the Assets, Liabilities, Income, and Expenses pages reads account exports from other finance apps, simple name/balance lists, or any CSV with a column-mapping step — with a per-row preview before anything is created.

How is my data protected?

Your financial data is encrypted at rest, with a separate encryption key for each household. All reads and writes go through the server; the app enforces access per household.

Can I export or delete my data?

Yes. You can edit or export your data at any time, and deleting your account removes your data. You stay in control of what's stored.

What are debt-payoff and RSU-vest scenarios?

They're factual comparisons. The payoff comparator shows total interest, payoff dates, and months-to-zero for each option from your inputs; RSU-vest scenarios show net proceeds and side-by-side columns for paying a liability, paying the mortgage, or staying invested. No growth projections and no verdicts — just the numbers, so you can compare them.
