Savings goal calculator
Turn a target into a timeline: months to reach it at your contribution, the growth your own yield assumption adds, and the monthly amount a target date implies. Nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere.
About these numbers
- Educational estimate — not financial or investment advice.
- Growth uses only the yield you enter (default 0%); no market return is assumed for you, and any yield is applied to the prior balance monthly.
- Where to keep savings, and how much to save, are your decisions.

Create a free accountHow the timeline is computed
Each month adds your contribution, and the prior balance grows at the yield you entered (contributions start earning the following month — a deliberately conservative convention). The 'implied monthly' figure for a target date is found by searching the same simulation, so the two numbers can never disagree.
Is my data stored?
No. Nothing you type is sent to or stored on our servers.
Common questions
How is the time to reach my goal calculated?
From your current amount, the target, your monthly contribution, and an optional annual yield you enter. With a yield, contributions compound monthly; with none, it is a straight division of the remaining gap by the monthly amount.
What does the yield field assume?
It is an assumption you choose, applied as a constant monthly compounding rate. Real returns vary and can be negative — the projection is educational, not a forecast.
Can I work backwards from a target date?
Yes — enter a date and the tool shows the monthly amount that date implies for your gap, using the same math in reverse.
